Levelling up with Scribo ### Claro for Students Claro for Students is Scribo’s writing ‘thought-support’ coach, available 24/7 to work alongside students through any writing activity. It supports students right from the blank page—helping them unpack the topic, generate ideas, and figure out how to even begin their response. As they write, Claro encourages students to ask questions about their text and their thinking, offering possible directions and prompts to guide them forward. \ \ It's important to remember that **Claro will never write text for students.** It’s there to build their confidence and their thinking, not replace it. It’s a safe, transparent system that understands the educational context, including the student’s strengths and areas for improvement.\ \ Teachers can observe all interactions students have with Claro. Asking the right questions is an important skill to build, which is why we mapped out the student’s Claro questions against Bloom’s taxonomy. See what students are asking and guide them to asking higher-order questions. Good writing is good thinking made visible, while stronger thinking delivers better writing. \|

Claro Foresight helps teachers turn student writing data into clear, actionable insights for teaching. Instead of manually reviewing multiple pieces of work, you can quickly identify class-wide trends, common gaps, and priority areas to focus on, simply by asking a question. Claro Foresight highlights what students are doing well, where they are struggling, and suggests how you can respond with targeted instruction or follow-up activities. This allows you to move from reactive marking to proactive teaching, confidently planning what to teach next based on real student needs. \|

Activity reports This reporting view helps teachers review progress of an activity at either the student or class level, making it easier to monitor writing development and generate reports that support follow-up teaching. It is best used when you want a clear progress snapshot rather than a deeper diagnostic analysis. 2\. Class writing analysis report for an activity This report is more diagnostic. It is designed to help teachers analyse class-wide writing patterns, identify shared strengths and gaps, and use those insights to decide what to reteach or reinforce next. 3\. Write Groove / activity history This view focuses on student activity history, helping teachers see how students engaged across the writing process over time. It is useful for understanding participation, progress habits, and how students are interacting with the platform beyond a single submission. \|

Handwriting also creates the most amount of work for teachers. In Year 6, students are expected to write 200-250 words. In a class of 30 students, that is 7,500 words per writing activity.
